Most Popular Posts of 2018

The end of the year is here, and, although my blogging consistency resembles an ocean wave (very up and down), I’ve managed to pull it together towards the end to bring you some new content. Hopefully, fun and informative content, too.

I love looking back on my analytics over the year and seeing which posts resonated with my readers the most. According to the analytics, the following posts topped the charts for most viewed of 2018.

5. Thai Poached Cod

By far one of my favorite meals I’ve made and, apparently, y’all’s, too! It’s incredibly easy to make and sure packs a mouthful of flavor. We pair it with rice to add a little more substance to the dish, as well as help cool our tongues from the heat of the curry. If you haven’t had a chance to make it yet, add it to your priority list this year!

4. Cooking Class at Sur La Table

John and I had a blast this past January at Sur La Table’s “Date Night: A Taste of Tuscany” cooking class. He gave me the class as a Christmas gift. Working together in teams of four, we prepped, cooked and ate a delicious meal beginning with Bruschetta with Slow Roasted Shallots and Goat Cheese as an appetizer, Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin with White Bean and Wild Mushroom Ragout as the main dish, and Poached Pears with Prosecco Zabaglione for dessert. This year he got us a spot for their “Date Night: In the French Quarter” next week. I can’t wait to share with you how it goes!

3. My Favorite Cookbooks

From cooking magazines to books to Pinterest, I share my favorite places for meal inspirations. I received so many cookbooks for Christmas this year, so I may be changing up this list, but I thank these 4 places for bringing us many great meals. Did your favorites make the list?

2. Get Fit with Blogilates

This post ties in directly with the number 1 most viewed post of 2018 seeing as I wrote this one first, then linked it in the other post, which obviously keeps drawing people back to it. This post overviews the process and concept of PopPilates. Although not a review, it essentially is an unsponsored endorsement since I was about a month into the program and absolutely hooked.

1. Blogilates- A Year (and Two Months) Review

I posted a year review of my journey doing PopPilates back in October 2017 and it has remained the top post on my blog ever since. What’s awesome is that Cassey Ho, Founder of the Blogilates empire, retweeted my post and congratulated me on Twitter, which it some MAJOR exposure. Since sharing, this post holds a comfortable spot on the first page of Blogilates reviews on Google.

What was your favorite post of this year? I’d love to know! Plus, what would you like to see more of next year? I’m always looking for ideas and appreciate your thoughts and constructive criticism.
