Daydream Believer

I spend a lot of my Sundays prepping for the week ahead. Some weeks I'm working, while other weeks I'm meal prepping, cleaning and doing laundry. You can tell, it's hardly ever a "day of rest" for me, but when I do get an hour or two to finally relax, I love browsing Pinterest for amazing locations to one day visit.

Since J and I love to travel, I always "pin" beautiful and oftentimes exotic locations to add to our travel bucket list. Here are the top 5 countries/ cities I'm hoping to visit in the near future.

1. Iceland

Iceland has become a serious destination spot for tourists over the past few years. Thanks to Facebook, I've noticed that a lot of people are now traveling to this one-of-a-kind country for an amazing experience. You can swim in the hot springs, hike up mountains for breathtaking views, fish, eat, spa and more. J and I want to visit since this is truly an environment we have never experienced before, and probably won't ever again. (Um... cold much?)

2. New Orleans

J had his bachelor party here, so he's technically already been, but has promised he would go back since New Orleans is that interesting of a city. I've always wanted to travel to New Orleans and feel like I have to before I die. It's just one of those places where, if you haven't been yet, people will look at you with the "stink eye" until you do. Now, I'm not a big partier and really have no interested in hanging out on Bourbon Street for a long period of time, but I am incredibly interested in history and food. I've often heard NOLA described as very "European" compared to other U.S. cities because of the architecture and atmosphere. I can't wait to finally be able to try beignets and some true Cajun food.

3. Napa

Now, I've already been to Napa, but this time J has not. Visiting the beautiful wine country with him would be an amazing experience. What's better than tasting wine, eating fantastic food, and exploring the romantic countryside with a loved one? Not much, in my book.

4. Italy

Okay, so maybe tasting wine, eating fantastic food, and exploring the romantic countryside with a loved one could only be better in Italy. J and I have both been to Italy several times, but never together. This country never gets old to us. Each time you go, you can discover a whole new area you've not yet explored, uncover history you've not yet learned, and unleash taste buds you didn't know you had. Italy has my heart and I will choose this place to visit every chance I get.

5. Canada

If you've been reading my blog for a while, then you know back in June we visited New York for friends' wedding. While we were there, we drove the quick trip to Niagara Falls, Canada for literally 45 minutes of exploring. From the snippet we saw of the country, it was beautiful! I would love to make a trip back, but to Montreal and Quebec. I've heard nothing but fantastic things about Canada and look forward to experiencing this friendly and clean country for a longer amount of time.

What are some places you wish to visit? Have you visited any on my list? I'd love to hear your recommendations.
