My parents hosted a fantastic party weekend for family and friends in Horseshoe Bay. Although J and I didn't go up until Saturday afternoon, the had events and parties beginning Friday morning.Read More
The older I get the more anxiety I have about a lot of things. I have fear about not being able to do everything I want to do in life, about losing someone or something close to me, about missing out on other things people my age are doing or succeeding at. It's true, I have self-diagnosed anxiety with a swallow of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).Read More
As a freelance digital marketer & now a REALTOR®, I've had the luxury of working on my own schedule since I graduated from college. Don't get me wrong- I've definitely had jobs where I was required to be in an office for certain hours of the day. I know the pain, but I've definitely been lucky that my pain has been short-lived.Read More
Fashion is a passion... of mine. See what I did there? I enjoy clothes and work hard to look my best wearing them. Luckily, people have told me I have decent fashion sense, so I've decided to share what I wear throughout the week in order to inspire some new looks or fresher ideas for my readers. Plus, I definitely want to be able to keep sharing with you where I find these items.Read More
Almost every week my girlfriends and I try to get together either for a happy hour at a restaurant or a low-key dinner at someone's house. Our schedules are all over the place, but we all make an effort to clear them since "girl time" is a necessity for us.Read More
I definitely don't feel older. In fact, I still feel 20 at heart, but this past Sunday (Father's Day to be exact), my twin and I celebrated our 27th birthday. I've mixed feelings about this as we are slowly creeping closer to the big ol' 3-0. However, we're still a few years off and I'm doing my best to soak in my 20s for as long as I can by doing things I've never done before.Read More
If you've been following my blog for a while, then you know that I don't typically make the healthiest of meals. I made food that I know J and I will enjoy, and if that happens to be filled with carbs and butter, then so be it. I do, however, swap ingredients for healthier alternatives when I can/need to.Read More
Happy Tuesday! The weekend is over and I failed miserably at not spending any money over the weekend. I don't know what it is, but on weekends, I get this need to shop. I drug J along with me and we managed to purchase another great canvas art piece for our house.Read More
Can you believe it's already June?! We are halfway into 2017 and there is still so much I want/ need to accomplish. However, I have worked hard to accomplish many things already.
For one, I've started a new career with my Twin Sis! We are a real estate team with JB Goodwin, REALTORS®. (Click here to learn more about The Cangelosi Team & browse homes for sale and rent in the SATX area.)Read More
If you read my "New York State of Mind" post earlier this week, then you know J, Twin Sis, and I headed to Rochester, NY to celebrate our friends' wedding. Seeing as we were only an hour and a half away from one of North America's most popular natural attractions, we decided to rent a car for a quick day trip.Read More
Two of J's and my very best friends got married this weekend in Rochester, NY and we couldn't have been more thrilled. In fact, Sami was who introduced J and I when they were each other's roommate in college, Allison and I were in the same sorority for a time. You know when you meet a couple and instantly understand why they are meant for each other? That's these two? Seeing them together is just natural.Read More
I've made this recipe several times over the past few years and each time it gets harder and harder not to go back for seconds and even thirds.
Again, I don't know why I haven't added this recipe to the blog yet since it's one that is easy to make, requires ingredients that you almost always will have on hand, and it tastes good every time.Read More
This Memorial Day Weekend, J and I headed to our parents' lake house to officially kick off the summer season. J and I have been looking forward to this weekend for a while. We haven't been up to the lake house since the beginning of the year, so we were itching for some sunbathing, wave running riding, and boat cruising. Plus, Luna loves getting to swim in the pool with her BFF and our nephew, Sammy.Read More
The in-laws and J's grandma came in this past weekend for a quick visit. Oddly enough, I've never once cooked for them when they've been in town! How could I let them visit so many times without experiencing my cooking greatness? This I will never know, but we ended the curse this weekend.Read More
The older I got the more frustrated I became with the lack of clothing available in stores for petite women. There was one store that I began to rely on for great, well-fitting petite clothes was the Loft. It seemed to be the only place that had a decent sized petite section, as well as a large selection online. Their clothes fit true to size and the quality was great.Read More
I certainly haven't posted a recipe in a while! I guess this just goes to show that I haven't had much time to try out new things. Luckily, for good reason, as twin sis and I's real estate career has taken off recently.Read More
You know when you hear a song and it instantly takes you back to a happy memory or feeling? I love songs like that, especially when the weather is nice and I can roll the windows down and blast it in my car when they come on.Read More
Every now and then it's great to get away with your girlfriends. Whether it be at a happy hour or a weekend vacation, every gal needs her pals to loosen up and relax with.
This past weekend my friend Sarah of "Life of a Frye", twin sis, mom and two aunts boarded a Southwest flight to Charleston, SC for a quick getaway. I have ALWAYS wanted to visit Charleston and was so pumped to hear that this was going to be our girls trip destination.Read More
For our first wedding anniversary J and I decided to spend a day and evening at the hotel where we had our wedding reception: The La Cantera Resort & Spa. Last year at this time, the hotel was undergoing renovations, and although the ballrooms, lobby, and some new restaurants were open a lot of the amazing features like the adult pool, spa, and the majority of the guest rooms had yet to be finished.Read More
